Friday 23rd September 2005 Online Casino Group Launches Responsible Gaming Program
The Jackpot Factory Group has successfully implemented a responsible gaming program formulated by the eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA).
In compliance with eCOGRA, all Jackpot Factory Group casinos offer advice on how to gamble in a responsible manner and how to detect potential gambling problems. The casinos allow players to take the National Opinion Research Center of the University of Chicago’s (NORC) confidential diagnostic test, a highly respected test used by psychologists across the country.
Andrew Beveridge, CEO of eCOGRA said: “eCOGRA strongly believes that the prevention of underage gambling and identifying and helping problem gamblers is a core objective in running an integrity-driven online gambling operation with player protection front-of-mind. Jackpot Factory is among the first to implement our suggested program, which includes staff training in this critical area.”
David Brickman, spokesperson for the Jackpot Factory Group, said: “The Jackpot Factory Group cares first and foremost about our players. As such, we take the issue of responsible gaming very seriously Gambling on video slots, or any other casino game for that matter is a great form of leisure and entertainment, but for some it can potentially be dangerous. If a player needs a cooling off period, we’re going to encourage them to do so.“
