Student Wins School Fees in Online Poker Tournament

An online poker tournament, by Absolute Poker, offering college students the chance to win free tuition has come to an end with a 21 year old from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania taking home the big prize. Jeremy Olisar beat over 300 competitors in the free roll No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament, granting him a cheque for his autumn tuition fees.

Michael Edwards from Absolute Poker says; 'We want to create customer loyalty and brand recognition, and college poker players are the fastest growing segment of online poker participants.' He goes on to reveal, 'we're also a young company, and not too separated from the years when Ramen noodles and Kraft dinners were our main meals.'
