SunPoker.com have released details of their first outing of hosting a land based tournament. Designed as an annual event, the Carribean Poker Classic No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em tournament is to be held from the 5th to 11th December. The venue will be the Maho Beach Resort in St Maarten, and the total prize pool on offer is estimated to be US$1 million.
Like many poker tournaments these days, this event is to be televised and looks set to attract some big names in poker. For the public, entry can be gained via satellite tournaments featured on the SunPoker website. The qualifying satellites should be easy to find for visitors to the site, named as they are, “CARIBBEAN”.
Winners of these satellite events will win themselves the US$5100 buy in for the event, as well as airfare, six nights hotel accommodation, access to the VIP welcome party held on the first night of the tournament. Winners also take their place in a private party held exclusively for tournament winners.
