Friday 6th January 2006 eBay Auction Takes Player To WPT Event
Professional poker player, Scott Neuman is now eligible to play in the 1st Annual Borgata Classic Open following his auction on eBay, which raised enough sponsorship money for his buy-in.
Neuman’s advert on eBay for sponsorship was spotted by Riley Books who felt that the WPT event was an excellent opportunity to promote their new books on the Baja Peninsula. Neuman said, ‘Riley Books is looking to show the world their expertise on the Baja. They know that a large percentage of poker players live on the west coast and might have an interest in the Baja.’ He added, ‘What (also) caught their eye was that I have made 28 final tables in the last two years in both live and online poker tournaments.’
A representative of Rileybooks.com commented, ‘This is a win-win situation for us. Scott Neuman is an accomplished poker player and has done well at many large events. He owns a state wide computer business and collectible record company and is fairly well known in the poker arena.’
