Pokerzone Wins at UK Gambling Awards

Pokerzone has won ‘TV Programme of the Year’ at the UK Gambling Awards for ‘Poker Night Live’. Although the popular programme faced stiff competition in ‘Ladbrokes Poker Million’ and the ‘World Heads Up Poker Championships’, it still came up trumps in 2005.

Pokerzone's Managing Director, Jim Sibcy said of the win, 'We are delighted to have won this award in light of the fact we were up against such strong competition, including influential players such as Ladbrokes and WPT'. Creative Director, Sam Orams was equally excited, 'We are particularly proud that the award has been voted for via the viewers and therefore is a true reflection of the popularity in our unique and exciting product.'

Poker Night Live was launched in May 2005 and has since has grown to reach an audience in excess of 200,000 viewers per week.
