Poker Show Comes to Europe

The producers of the USA television show and world's largest amateur poker tour, the Small Town Poker Tour (STPT), have unveiled plans to visit Europe in 2006 as part of their worldwide tour to find the world's best poker player.

After touring all 50 US states the show will move on to Canada, Australia, Asia and Europe as it attempts to bring us more from the 'grassroots' level of the game.

Producers have chosen Denmark as the number one European location for the show after receiving what they labelled their 'best response' from Copenhagen.

Executive producer Mark Fracalossi said, 'We are happy to be moving forward with setting up a true world amateur poker championship, and giving people a chance to shine. The money we raise will stay local. It's a chance for all poker players to come to give something back.'
