Thursday 2nd September 2004 PartyPoker's Million IV will be filmed for TV series again
PartyPoker.com’s annual poker tournament Million IV will be filmed again for the popular World Poker Tour TV series. The fourth annual event will be sea based again, sailing from San Diego on 19 March. Entry is gained as usual through tournaments held online, with the 750 best performing players gaining entry to the big event. The final winner stands to win almost US $2 million.
Last year’s winner Erick Lindgren won US$ 1 million and earned himself the title of TV’s World Poker Tour Player of the Year and leading money winner for 2004. Each qualifier of the 25,000 who compete is earning themselves a deal worth US$12,600, including the cruise for two, the buy in for the final and spending money.
Each player will start the final tournament with US$ 10,000 in chips, playing until they lose or to make the final table on the fifth day of the event. It is this final which will be filmed for the World Poker Tour TV series. The 2005 cruise will take place on board the Oosterdam, one of Holland America’s ships. The total pot of stakes for the tournament is valued at US$7,5 million. Las Vegas based company Card Player Cruises is the organiser of the sweepstakes.
