Wednesday 19th April 2006 Bluff Poker Radio Increases Programming Schedule
You’ve seen it on the TV, played online and spoke incessantly about it with friends, but poker is now expanding on the radio. Bluff Poker Radio, the only nationally syndicated poker show available has announced that it upping its output with shows now scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday nights on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 122) between 8pm and 10pm.
Having already coaxed the likes of Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth to guest host, the aim is to give listeners a chance to pick up tips from the pros and even phone in and try and get them to fix their own problems (poker related only it must be said).
The reason for the increase in programming comes down to pressure from listeners according to Nick Geber, one of the station’s hosts. This is not surprising given the continuing growth of the game. Indeed, last year demand was so high that Bluff became the first radio station to air the WSOP main event live, which must have taken some listening to keep up with all the action. Still, if you can pick up some ideas on how to win a few extra bucks, it’s got to be worth tuning in.
