Absolute Poker Sponsors Ferrari F340 in Gumball 3000

It’s the biggest annual excuse for the global playboys (and girls) to drive fancy cars around the globe rather than shopping or hang out in Monte Carlo. And this year, online poker is playing its part too.

The Gumball 3000, now in its eighth year, features some of the world’s most sought-after cars, and follows a course from London, across Europe and Asia, winding up in Los Angeles. This year, the Ferrari F430 Spider will be plastered in advertising for Absolute Poker, one of the rallies ten official sponsors.

It seems that playing online is now officially glamorous, but the joy of it is that it isn’t just reserved for those with plummy English accents. As part of their deal, Absolute are offering prizes on their site related to Gumball, the best being the chance to turn up at the Playboy mansion and hang out with the drivers and other hangers-on for the wrap party. Definitely an added bonus to playing a spot of online this week then.
