Tuesday 24th August 2004 Blue Square Sign Major Deal with Tribeca Tables
Blue Square is in the news again today, following the revelation that the bookmaker has signed a deal with Tribeca Tables Software Development to launch an online poker platform. Having hit the headlines earlier in the week with the news of the company’s acquisition of betting exchange, Sporting Options, Blue Square have said they are scheduling the launch of the poker site for early September.
Blue Square’s Head of Business Development Andy Harris said: “We did an extensive analysis of the various ePoker solutions, and determined that Tribeca’s unique approach of enabling established consumer brands to offer their own ePoker room while enjoying shared liquidity, is a perfect fit for Blue Square and Rank. Tribeca has demonstrated clear knowledge and expertise on how to operate and manage an ePoker room while reinforcing our brand to our customers.”
“Blue Square is a perfect match for us at Tribeca. They have fantastic brands and many innovative strategies to introduce their customers to BlueSquare.com. The commitment and energy that the Blue Square team has demonstrated in building the Blue Square brand is substantial and impressive. We are confident the Blue Square team will bring the same innovative strategies and expertise to building a dominant ePoker room for the Blue Square customers.” Commented Steve Cook, European Managing Director for Tribeca.
Blue Square will be joining Victor Chandler Worldwide, Golden Palace, and Kinsale Holdings in the Tribeca aggregator, which is operated by the UK based Apex Poker network. “We are also in discussions with other major brands”, Steve added.
