Wednesday 31st May 2006 Trip to WSOP for 100 InterPoker Winners
InterPoker has announced their largest competition prize to date, worth a total of $1.8 million.
100 lucky winners will win the chance to participate at one of the most prestigious events in the poker calendar – the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2006.
Each prize package, worth $18,000, includes buy-in to the main event, travel and accommodation, spending money, buy-in to a second chance WSOP Bracelet event and buy-in to another $200,000 tournament.
Players enter through InterPoker's daily internet poker satellite tournaments. Various prizes will be awarded on a daily basis until the beginning of July 2006.
Last year, Interpoker’s WSOP entrant and winner Todd Whittles beat 406 other rounders for his first bracelet win in the $3,000 Limit Hold'em, winning $347,385. “This was the ultimate poker tournament for me and you cannot beat the rush of winning,” said Todd. “The energy, anticipation and passion of the players and fans created an electric atmosphere that I will remember for the rest of my life. I can't wait to go again this year.”
