Cyberarts Announces Software Platform for Service Developers

Barcelona (10 October 2006) – CyberArts LLC announced today a significant upgrade to the global capabilities of its Foundation™ software platform for developers of online gaming services. The upgrade helps developers minimize the risk associated with U.S. Congress’ recently-passed Safe Ports Act, which includes provisions that would prohibit US based banks and credit card companies to make payments to online gambling sites. CyberArts Foundation™ software now allows developers to quickly and easily launch non-English-language versions of their gaming services, and conduct transactions using a variety of payment systems in almost any currency.

Chris Derossi, co-founder and CEO of CyberArts explains, ”We are very excited to offer capabilities that will allow developers to continue to diversify their online gaming offerings, and serve non-U.S. players in any parts of the world. Major online poker sites can safely continue their financial growth in regions unaffected by the Safe Ports Act.”

Derossi is well-known in the poker world as the co-author of Winning at Internet Poker for Dummies, one of the popular titles from the “… for Dummies” series. He has more than 20 years of leadership at top technology companies including Apple Computers, where he served as chief architect of OS 7 before starting CyberArts. The globalization project has been managed by the company’s co-founders Derossi and Ken Arnold.

CyberArts, the designer of the software that currently powers the online poker rooms for Mansion.com, Tony G Poker and Apuestas.com, has long been established as a pioneer in gaming technology. Building upon a ten-year history of developing and operating GamesGrid, the world's first graphical online backgammon club, CyberArts set out to build a ground-breaking platform to support the next generation of online gaming. The company has customized its unique platform for sophisticated marketers requiring strong branding capabilities, flexible and innovative functionality, and support for multiple languages and currencies. The Foundation™ software is the world’s only platform that is fully licensable, allowing companies to quickly and easily build and launch their own branded, customized online gaming service. The platform supports poker, backgammon, casino, and nearly any other type of game.

In addition to its globalization features, the CyberArts Foundation™ platform is the most scalable, secure online gaming software platform available. CyberArts submitted Foundation™ to a thorough certification process by the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority. Their subsequent approval demonstrates that CyberArts supplies products ready to operate in jurisdictions with the highest standards. Furthermore, Foundation™ has been tested to support tens of thousands of simultaneous users with extensive fail-safe mechanisms.

CyberArts is in discussions with several companies who will unveil new Foundation-based online gaming services within the next 90 days. It’s also expected that several existing major gaming services, including World Poker Tour, will be switching to the CyberArts Foundation™ platform in the near future.

Full feature descriptions and downloadable brochures are available on the company’s site at http://www.cyberarts.com. CyberArts will be exhibiting at booth #100 during the European Internet Gaming Exhibition and conference in Barcelona (http://www.eigexpo.com/2006), 11-3 October, and at booth #5601 during the Global Gaming Expo (http://www.globalgamingexpo.com), 14-16 November in Las Vegas.
