WPT Enterprises has announced plans for what it describes as “the next breakthrough development in poker” – an online poker education centre which will pool archives of WPT information to improve poker players’ games.
The site will apparently include authentic poker play, functioning as an “interactive learning tool for both poker enthusiasts and novices alike.”
'Bringing together the depths of our content library and the vast number of WPT resources, WPT Academy provides for the poker community the foremost edge on all things poker,' said James Revell, VP of WPT Interactive. “It's an exceptional tool for the serious student to the person who just wants to win a bet on the best way to play pocket sixes.'
Features at the website will include a sophisticated hand search engine and simulator, video tutorials from poker pros and the opportunity to track and log their favourite players’ performances, even recording the hands they folded. Additionally, the site will have a community aspect, allowing members to comment on their favourite hands, submit their own analysis and rank hands.
'We will continue populating the database,” said Revell, “integrating fresh content and distributing new video lessons on a regular basis so that people will come back again and again to increase their knowledge in a fun and creative way.”
