Thursday 24th August 2006 Legends of Poker are Covered by PocketFives
The World Poker Tour’s Legends of Poker tournament is to get under way this Saturday August 26, and online poker room PocketFivesLive will be there to provide live coverage of the online poker players scheduled to participate.
Around 600 poker players are set to descend on the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, California, for the $10,000 buy-in tournament which will be broadcast on The Travel Channel as part of Season 5 of the World Poker Tour. PocketFivesLive.com is encouraging participating online poker players to register at its website, where it is offering free live coverage of the event, in the hope of witnessing an online poker player emerge victorious.
'I expect over 20 of our online poker players to compete in the first World Poker Tour event we will be covering,' said PocketFives Chief Editor and Co-Owner Adam Small. PocketFivesLive was launched in July, 2006, and tracked over 400 online poker players in the World Series of Poker Main Event; 50 of whom cashed in for a total of almost $3 million.
