Four-time World Heavyweight Champion, Evander Holyfield, steps back into the ring again tonight to begin his quest to make history by becoming the first boxer to have held the world heavyweight title on five separate occasions. The fight also marks the boxing debut of online poker room MANSIONPOKER.NET, as it continues to develop its sports sponsorship brand.
Holyfield, now 43, goes toe to toe against veteran Jeremy Bates at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas this evening nearly two years after his last heavyweight bout, and the fight is expected to generate significant public interest from a global televised audience.
MANSIONPOKER.NET Chief Operating Officer, David Kinsman explained, “Our continued exploration of sports sponsorships demonstrates our respect for the sporting ideal, and we understand that poker players are by their nature equally fanatical about sports of all sorts.”
The sponsorship deal will see the MANSIONPOKER.NET logo on all four sides of the canvas and the corner pads behind each of the two fighters during their ten round non-title fight which will be screened live on Fox Sports Net.
