Friday 18th August 2006 Spokesmodel Commended on her Dazzling WSOP Performance
Titan Poker has issued its congratulations to its spokesmodel Joanna Krupa for her stellar World Series of Poker (WSOP) achievements.
Krupa, considered by Playboy Magazine to be the 'World's Hottest Swimsuit Model,' shocked poker fans by outlasting most of the other celebrities and professional players participating in this year's WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.
Despite only beginning to play poker last year, Krupa survived well into the second round of play of the Texas Hold'em No Limit $10,000 Buy-In Main Event, beating out more than 5,000 poker players, including actresses Shannon Elizabeth and Jennifer Tilly and 2004 WSOP champ Greg 'Fossilman' Raymer.
'I am happy that I beat a lot of pros from the first day,' Krupa said. 'They play all the time and this is only my second time in a tournament. I'm very pleased with myself.'
Krupa played through 11 gruelling hours of poker on Day Two before she was knocked out of the competition. Despite having graced the covers of Maxim, GQ, and Playboy, she said that her looks unfortunately didn't help her at the table. 'I don't think they're looking at every person and getting distracted,” she said. “I just think everybody is here to do their best.”
