Friday 25th June 2004 On Command to Bring Poker to Your Hotel Suite
On Command Video Corporation, a leading provider of in-room interactive entertainment for the hotel industry and its guests, has announced the debut of its RGtech iGames service, which will digitally deal poker and blackjack hands to your hotel room. Games are played by using the in-room television remote control or the wireless Internet keyboard. Going out to hotel rooms in the US, Canada, Mexico and Spain, on Command and its distribution network will service 100 prestigious hotel chains and reach more than 1,000,000 guest rooms. On Command calculate that they will touch more than 300 million guests annually.
The games were designed by RGtech, which has since 1997 has been supplying gaming software to the airline industry 'RGtech has a proven track record of delivering quality game options to airline travelers,' said Tad Walden, senior vice president of marketing and programming for On Command. 'Making these games available to hotel guests is a natural extension of their current distribution.'
