Friday 28th March 2008 Brunson 'looking good' for Antonius match-up
Poker legend Doyle Brunson says he is on good form at the moment, words which will perhaps not be welcomed by Finnish player Patrick Atonius.
The young star had challenged the Texan to any poker game of his choice, but he may be kicking himself now following Brunson's blog announcement earlier today.
"I played better than I have in years," said the ten-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner on his performance at last week's Irish Poker Open.
He added that he had "no complaints" about getting eliminated on the third day and suggested he had played as well as he could have.
Brunson has won the joint-second most number of WSOP titles ever and has World Poker Tour silverware in his trophy cabinet as well.
He has said the game with Antonius will probably happen next month when the two will likely meet at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
